Denver has a mix of street metered parking, residential permit zones, and public/private garages.
Street Parking
- Meters: $0.25/hour in residential areas to $4/hour in peak downtown/event zones
- Enforcement: Monday to Saturday, 8:00–20:00 (some LoDo zones until 22:00)
- Sundays and federal holidays: Free
- Max stay: 2 hours downtown (strictly enforced)
Residential Permit Parking (RPP)
Several neighbourhoods near downtown require residential parking permits. Residents in designated zones can park without time limits. Visitors can obtain temporary permits.
72-Hour Limit
No vehicle may park on any city street for more than 72 consecutive hours, regardless of payment.
Garages
Downtown garages range from $10–30 per day. SpotHero and SpotAngels provide advance booking for discounted rates. In June 2026, Denver piloted $5 downtown parking via SpotHero.
Parking Fines and Towing
- Parking tickets: $25–75
- Towing: $100+ relocation fee plus storage
